Shockwave Therapy

Mettler Auto*Wave 695 Device

The future of pain relief is here with the Mettler Auto*Wave 695, an FDA-cleared radial pressure pulse therapy system designed for office and clinical use. Also known as Extracorporeal Pulse Activation Technology (EPAT), this treatment approach was originally developed in Europe and has become a trusted non-invasive option for managing acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions.

The Auto*Wave 695 delivers high-energy pressure waves through an ergonomic applicator directly into targeted muscles and soft tissues. These pressure waves help stimulate metabolism, improve blood circulation, support the body’s natural healing response, and assist in reducing pain. It is commonly used for conditions such as plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, tendon pain, trigger points, and other soft tissue injuries.

With typical treatment sessions lasting only 10 to 15 minutes, the Auto*Wave 695 is ideal for busy clinical environments, including physical therapy clinics, orthopedic offices, sports medicine practices, podiatry clinics, and chiropractic offices.

The unit features a 7-color touchscreen interface, built-in treatment protocols with visual guides, multilingual settings, and memory capacity for up to 5,000 user-defined protocols. Its compact and lightweight design makes it easy to move between treatment rooms or transport when needed. Weighing only 22 lbs. and measuring 15.6″ x 15.4″ x 7.6″, the Auto*Wave 695 is practical, portable, and easy to store.

The complete package includes the Auto*Wave 695 unit, power cord, fuses, applicator, two radial transmitters — 15 mm and 20 mm — screwdriver, cleaning brush, and a fully illustrated instruction and user guide. A repair kit is also included for on-site maintenance and component replacement when needed, helping reduce equipment downtime.

For best results, the use of ultrasound coupling gel is highly recommended during treatment. The gel helps create an efficient medium for transmitting pressure pulses into the targeted tissue.

For cleaning, the main unit should be wiped with a clean, soft damp cloth to remove stains and a clean, soft dry cloth to remove dust from the surface.
